Single player campaigns in Battlefield titles aren’t a surefire thing after the FPS series experimented with them and then moved away again in Battlefield 2042, so the biggest thing a new leak for the next instalment confirms is there is one this time around.
Again, from the EA DICE playtest known as Battlefield Labs, some “work-in-progress” footage from a campaign mission centred around destroying a dam has surfaced online:
Battlefield campaigns have been somewhat sporadic of late โ in terms of their existence and the effort put into them โ with the Bad Company spin-offs generally regarded as the best titles for single player enthusiasts, while Battlefield 3 and Battlefield 4 also had one.
Clips of the next Battlefield game have been leaked online for a few months now, mostly of its multiplayer tests in Battlefield Labs. EA has said the game will be out before April 2026 on PS5, and a full reveal is taking place at some point this summer.
The next entry is designed to reverse some unpopular decisions made in Battlefield 2042, like bringing back the class system and focused maps in a modern-day setting. Are you excited for the next Battlefield game? Let us know in the comments below.
