According to IGN, Build a Rocket Boy currently employs around 300 people, and its consultation process suggests that at least a third of its workforce could soon be cut. This has raised concerns internally that, despite committing to MindsEye after launch, the studio won’t be able to fulfil its content roadmap.
Higher-ups have suggested the game will be supported for a decade with both creations from the studio and its community. With such a small player base currently persisting with the game, it appears unlikely those plans will come to fruition.
